Systems Integration/Programmer - 571837

Description
 In this position, you will be responsible for developing, integrating and maintaining new platforms and application systems to support Intel's business needs and meet IT standards and computing environment requirements. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Acting both strategically, anticipating system related problems and inefficiencies and tactically, as part of a response group, reacting to system related emergencies as they arise
- Seeing the 'big picture' of an entire system, while being detail oriented to detect possible effects of a system on other systems and/or individual users
- Providing second and/or third level support on system related issues (for example, hardware, operating systems, services and others) to operational personnel and conducting crash recovery procedures, in addition to carrying out routine maintenance
- Identifying root causes and resolving problems related to system and application functionality
- Conducting performance analysis and addressing gaps to improve performance
Qualifications
 You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related discipline with four to six years of working experience in two or more of the following areas: Windows 2000* and/or 2003* administration, Microsoft* SQL*, application testing tools, Internet technologies and networking protocols. Additional qualifications include:
- Strong communication skills
- A team player
- Solid understanding of computer systems including operating systems, applications and network connectivity and how given solutions will affect a system as a whole
- Understanding various client and/or server architectures, operating system build technologies, system patching, system auditing, as well as server build processes
- Ability to cope with demanding work schedules

ISTG is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services. IT OPS Application and Data Services(ADS) We provide Managed Hosting and Production Engineering for Intel's Business Applications. ADS is responsible for the 'end to end' management of the Intel Business Application infrastructure. Business applications are those that are necessary to keep Intel's core business running and range from large line-of-business systems to specialized tools. Our scope excludes collaboration initiatives such as group and/or department productivity applications, team intranet sites, static content, SharePoint* and e-mail. Our concentration goes beyond Incident Management and break and/or fix response. We emphasize making our systems and applications healthy, driving technology consistency, automation and ensuring consistent service management practices are utilized across ADS
